The 1694th Silver Jubilee District (Renaissance College) Scout Group was formally registered on 15 June 2009 with the Scout Association of Hong Kong (SAHK). As such it is part of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The Group is sponsored by RCHK and, as such, youth membership is generally limited to students of the college. Exceptions to this policy are made in exceptional circumstances and on their merits.

Our Group currently has:

We meet every Saturday morning between 10:00 and 12:00 at RCHK. The Group currently has a strength of around 200, including Leaders and Helpers and is, therefore, one of the biggest groups in Hong Kong, and beyond. In accordance with scouting values, the Group has both multicultural and plural outlooks, against the background of which its members are expected to adhere to the respective Scout Promise and Law.

Languages spoken include Cantonese, English, Hindi, Putonghua and Tagalog.

Meetings are devoted to instruction and testing in the various progress awards and interest badges. Time is also allocated for practical activities and an all-important game.

Apart from weekly meetings, the Group has a full schedule of camps, hikes, visits and community service. Four members of the Group took part in the 22^nd World Scout Jamboree in Kristianstad, Sweden between 27 July and 7 August 2011.

The Group is always keen to engage new Leaders and Helpers in its various sections. Previous scouting experience is obviously an advantage but not essential.
