The Scouting way at RCHK

School-based activities will go ahead unless black rain weather warning is in force.

Our Group currently has:
Grasshopper Ring
nominally years 2-3
2 Cub Packs
nominally years 4-6
2 Scout Troops
nominally years 7-10
Venture Unit
nominally years 11 and up
(these are school years, not age)
We have regular meeting every Saturday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 at RCHK. The Group currently has around 200 scouts including grasshoppers, cub scouts, scouts, scout leaders and instructors. In accordance with scouting mission, the Group identify and provide suitable training for adult leadership and guidance for young people.

1694th is one of the English speaking group under Silver Jubilee District.

Meetings are devoted to operate an education movement for young people providing them with challenging and progressive training programmes for their physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and aesthetic development.

Apart from weekly meetings, the Group has a full schedule of camps, hikes, visits and community service. Seven members of the Group took part in the 23nd World Scout Jamboree in Kirara-hama, Yamaguchi City, Japan between 28 July and 8 August 2015. There was a reflection written by our venture Timothy Tan  - A Story of Convergence. You may refer to venture blog and enjoy the reading!

The Group is always keen to engage new Leaders in its various sections. Previous scouting experience is obviously an advantage but not essential.

The most important attributes required are enthusiasm and a desire to work with young people.

Scouting at RCHK is fun!
